Patty L. Mcginity

Patty Lou (Bruner) McGinity, 83, of Indiana, PA, formerly of Blairsville, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.

The daughter of Wilbur M. and Ann M. (Clawson) Bruner, she was born May 28, 1935 in Blacklick Twp., Indiana Co., PA.

Patty was a member of the Lovejoy Church of Christ.

She worked as a LPN and enjoyed helping people that weren’t able to help themselves.

Surviving are her daughter, Darlene L. Karpaski of Pittsburgh; sister, Grace Sulkosky of Blairsville; brother-in-law, Glenn Dunmire of Blairsville and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Joseph Karpaski, second husband, Fritz McGinity, five brothers, Charles, John, Ralph “Emmy", William and Wayne "Butch" Bruner and four sisters, Ethel Wheeler, Ruth Silvus, Alice Dunmire and infant, Betty Bruner.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Cory A. Braatz officiating.

Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.
