Karl R. Ramsden

Karl Robert Ramsden, 80, of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at his home.

The son of Jack W. Ramsden and Nora (Repine) Mumau, he was born February 28, 1937 in Cokeville, PA.

Karl graduated from Blairsville High School in 1955 and worked 30 years at Westinghouse Specialty Metals, Blairsville.

He loved to golf, go out to eat breakfast, especially with his friends, enjoyed deer hunting with his family and loved his two cats, Nora and Dora.

Surviving are two children, a daughter, Sally J. Harris (Paul) of Blairsville and a son, Robert D. Ramsden (Nancy) of New Alexandria; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister, William Ramsden (Doris Jean) of Blairsville; Mildred Davis (Bill) of Pittsburgh and Edward Ramsden (Laura) of Jeannette and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, M. Lynn (Ashley) Ramsden in 2014.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Dawn Krishart officiating.

Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
