Geneva G. Mcginity

Geneva Grace McGinity, 91, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.

The daughter of Ralph R. and Gertrude Sara (Bowser) McGinity, she was born January 24, 1926 in Burrell Twp., PA.

Geneva was a member of Strangford United Methodist Church.

She worked 29 years at Torrance State Hospital, retiring in 1986 and enjoyed walking and working in her yard.

Surviving are her sister, Betty Belice of Blairsville; a sister-in-law, Lois McGinity of Ligonier and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Raymond, Blaine, Norman and Richard McGinity.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Dawn Krishart officiating.

Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.
