Helen L. Johnson, 88, Lebanon, PA. formerly of Blairsville, died January 7, 2017, at Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
She was born Jan. 5, 1929, in Jerome, Pa, daughter of the late Alexander and Alice (Malukewiecz) Vancavage.
Preceded in death by husband Donald on February 12, 2007, whom she married on June 7, 1952; sisters, Mary, Anne; and brothers, Alex, Joseph and James.
Survived by children Donald (Denise), Lebanon, PA.; Michael (Lisa), Palmyra, PA.; Grandchildren Laura, David and Brian; brother George Vancavage, Johnstown.
Helen was a 1947 graduate of Portage High School and former member of SS Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA
Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SS Simon and Jude, 155 North Brady Street, Blairsville, Pennsylvania 15717
