Mary Elizabeth Lawson McCurdy, 70, of Homer City, PA passed away on Monday, November 27, 2006 at her home.She was born August 14, 1936 in Black Lick, PA, a daughter of Elmer D. and Orpha V. Varner Lawson.Surviving are four sons, Arthur E. McCurdy of Homer City; Robert D. McCurdy and wife, Cathy of Indiana; Ricky A. McCurdy and wife, Terri of Warren and Rodney L. McCurdy of Lakeland, FL; four daughters, Vicky Martin and fiancée, Bill Lambert of Marion Center; Barbara J. Sharp and husband, Thomas of Marion Center; Brenda L. Freedline and fiancée, Mark Malik of Indiana and Mary E. Freedline of Laurel, Delaware; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; four brothers, Ronald D. Lawson and wife, Barbara of Reading; Clarence E. Lawson and wife, Edna of Deep Water, NJ; Lester Lawson and wife, Sue of Reading and Clair E. Lawson and wife, Sue of Toms River, NJ; and two sisters, Janice I. Vogel and husband, Paul of Reading and Frances L. Sandolfini of Homer City.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur L. McCurdy in 1976 and a sister, Loretta Lewis.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Philip Mack officiating.Interment will be in Armagh Cemetery, East Wheatfield Twp., PA.
