Anna Marie Lonetti

Anna Marie (Mytrysak) Lonetti, 71, of Blairsville, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.

The daughter of John and Mary (Gaston) Mytrysak, she was born on December 12, 1954, in Indiana, PA.

Anna was a member of SS Simon and Jude Catholic Church.

She graduated from Blairsville High School, Class of 1972 and she went on to earn an Associate’s degree in office management. Anna worked for almost 20 years as an office manager at George Mason University.

Anna loved going to the casino, and she loved shopping. When she wasn’t watching Jeopardy on TV, she would be having fun spoiling her grandchildren. Anna still found time to travel, which was one of her favorite things to do, especially to Greece and Myrtle Beach.

She is survived by her three children, Anne Pynos (Bernard) of Blairsville, Eric Jia-Sobota (Jerry Jia-Sobota) of Houston, TX, and Eddie Sobota (Shannon) of Blairsville; grandchildren, Isabel, Abby, Jacob, Ashley, Bryce, and Kole; and sister, Carol Brennan (Dan) of Altoona.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Edward Sobota in 1994; and second husband, John Lonetti in 2016.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM, where a wake will be held at 7:30 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Prayers of transfer will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 9:30 AM, followed by a funeral Mass at SS. Simon and Jude Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Fr. Joe Pham, celebrant.

Interment will be in SS. Simon and Jude Cemetery, Blairsville.
