B. Paul Harris, 77, of Blairsville, PA passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Born on October 29, 1948, in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Bernard V. and Elizabeth R. (Finnegan) Harris.

He was a graduate of Bishop McCort High School, Johnstown.

Paul was a devoted member of SS Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church in Blairsville, where he faithfully sang in the men’s choir. He was deeply involved in the community and held memberships in several organizations, including the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1488, BPOE #406, Acacia Lodge #355 F&AM, where he served as Past Worshipful Master, all in Blairsville, and the Order of the Eastern Star #221 in Latrobe, where he served as Past Patron.

For 25 years, Paul worked as an assistant occupational therapist at Torrance State Hospital, where he dedicated himself to helping others.

Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Sally J. (Ramsden) Harris, whom he married on April 25, 1981; two children, Daniel P. Harris of Herndon, VA, and Sandra F. Schleicher of Clymer; a grandson, Aiden Turenchalk; three siblings, Dennis Harris (Tammy) of Johnstown, Kathy Book of Baltimore, MD, and Loretta Stephens of Johnstown; a brother-in-law, Keith Hecker of OH; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Hecker.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Prayers of Transfer will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM at SS Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, with Rev. Joseph Pham, celebrant.

Interment will follow at Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.

Acacia Lodge #355 will conduct Masonic services at the funeral home on Thursday at 7 PM. The Order of the Eastern Star #221 will conduct services at 7:30 PM.
