Barbara G Mccaulley

Barbara Gene (Meloy) McCaulley, 70 of Latrobe, PA passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, in UPMC Magee-Women’s Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

Born July 14, 1953, in Latrobe, PA, she was the daughter of John F. Meloy, Sr. and Valetta M. (Way) Meloy.

Barbara graduated from Blairsville High School, Class of 1971 and went on to graduate from Westmoreland County Community College.

She worked at Classic Industries in Latrobe and at S & T Bank, Blairsville.  Barbara and Gary eventually moved to Arizona before ultimately returning home to Pennsylvania.

Barbara was passionate about animals, especially dogs, traveling with her family, but above all her family was the center of her life.

Surviving is a daughter, Carrie L. Elrick (Stephen) of Blairsville; her granddaughter, Morgan Elrick (fiancé Dustin McCallen); a sister, Genevieve Sadler (Malin) of Kennebunk, Maine; and a brother, Mark Meloy (Vicky) of Abilene, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 51 years, Gary L. McCaulley, on October 23, 2023.

The family will receive friends for both Barbara and Gary on Sunday, October 29th from 5 to 8 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11 AM with Pastor Terry Semsick officiating.

Barbara and Gary will be buried together in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
