Barry Edward Muir, 67, of Princeton, WV, formerly of Blairsville, PA died on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

The son of Harry E. and Audrey E. (Patton) Muir, he was born on October 27, 1958, in Indiana, PA.

Barry worked for USP Hazelton as a prison guard until his retirement.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his four children, Alex Berry of Denver, CO., Gary Muir (Maranda) of Morgantown, WV, Remington Muir (Chailyn) of Waynesburg, and Autumn Muir (Brandon) of Westover, WV; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Richard W. Muir and Kevin D. Muir, and his sister, Sharon Titus.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 1-2 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.

Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
