Becky Rae Halberg

Becky Rae (Curry) Halberg, 70, of De Lancey, PA died on Saturday, December 21, 2024, in Aultman Hospital, Canton, OH.

The daughter of Ralston and Sara M. (Means) Curry, she was born on August 23, 1954, in Punxsutawney, PA.

Becky was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School, Class of 1972. For more than 20 years she worked as a bookkeeper for the Blairsville Saltsburg School District where she was also a member of the PTA. She was a former Cub Scout leader.

Becky loved to spoil her grandchildren and spend time with her wonderful friends.

Surviving is her son, Michael Halberg (Kiley) of Volant; two grandchildren, Halie and Micah; a sister-in-law, Laurie Curry of Winchester, VA; a brother-in-law, Larry Halberg of Anita; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvin J. Halberg on August 7, 2002, two brothers, Thomas and John Curry, and a sister-in-law, Abby Curry.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 1 PM until the time of the funeral service at 3 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA with Pastor Dan Cunkelman officiating.

Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
