Betty “Betts” Agnes (McKinney) Koffman, 100, of Indiana, PA passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Maple Valley Personal Care Home, Indiana, PA, surrounded by family.
The daughter of Jerome T. and Anna May (George) McKinney, she was born December 7, 1925, in Dutchtown, PA.
Betts was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Blairsville, PA, where she taught Sunday school for 18 years.
She was a homemaker who loved to read and watch TV. Some of her favorite things to do were cooking and baking.
She is survived by her children, Raymond J. Koffman of Blairsville, Gloria Brown (Jamie) of New Port, NC, and Beverly Caratelli (Frank) of Homer City; daughter-in-law Bertha Koffman of Iselin; brother, Robert McKinney (Gladys) of Cramer, PA; grandchildren, Saundra Sutherland, Raymond Koffman, Kimberly Turnbull, Wendy Skoff, Michael Walker, Tammy Groff, Jeremy Koffman, Frank Caratelli, and Jessica Caratelli; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John J. Koffman on February 13, 2012; son, Dennis J. Koffman on September 29, 2023; siblings, Raymond McKinney, William McKinney, Edna Thompson, Eva Fisher, and Vera McKinney; and daughter-in-law, Ronda Koffman.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 1-3 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, where a funeral service will follow at 3 PM with Pastor Steve Rearick officiating.
A private interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Concordia IRMC VNA Hospice.
