Betty Rae Sheehan

Betty Rae Sheehan, 90, of Blairsville, PA (formerly of Johnstown) passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.

The daughter of Edgar R. and Zelda P. (Boring) Sheehan, she was born February 4, 1935, in Johnstown, PA.

Betty Rae graduated from Johnstown High School, Class of 1953 and worked for Johnstown Bank & Trust for over 40 years until her retirement.

She was a member of Conemaugh Grace Brethern Church and former member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter # 495, both of Johnstown.

Betty Rae enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Surviving is her nephew, Tim Evans (Cristal) of Blairsville, her niece, Tracie Wash (Jason) of Stanford, KY; her great nephew, Matthew Evans (Emily) of Ada, MI; three great nieces, Stacy Harsh (Brock) of Blairsville, Jennifer Monohan (Michael) of Louisville, KY, and Abigail Wash of Stanford, KY; and her brother-in-law, Kenneth Evans of Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sara Jean Evans on March 4, 2018.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 4-7 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 11 AM, with Pastor Fred Craig officiating.

Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, PA.
