Brian Richard McGee

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Richard McGee, who left us on November 4th at the age of 37, having just celebrated his birthday on October 20, 1988. Born and raised in the Northampton and Lehigh Valley area, Brian was shaped by a community that held deep roots in his life. 

Brian was the cherished son of Thomas Patrick McGee and the late Diane Marie Lerch, and the beloved brother to his half-sister, Tara Marsh. Above all, Brian was a devoted father—loving, protective, and deeply connected to his two children, Jiovanni Joel McGee (16) and Kamryn Thomas Angel McGee (13). 

As his ex-fiancée and the mother of his children, I can say with certainty that Brian’s heart was always with his family. He worked hard throughout his life, consistently stepping up to provide, care, and support us. He carried a warmth and humor that brought comfort and laughter to our home, and even in the hardest moments, his presence had a way of making everything feel lighter. Brian had a genuinely good heart. He was the type of person who helped others without hesitation, and despite facing his own challenges with mental illness, he remained kind, compassionate, and full of spirit. His energy was truly unique—one-of-a-kind in a way that touched everyone who knew him. 

As we honor Brian’s memory, we hold onto the moments of joy he gave us, the stories that made us laugh, and the love he gave so freely. He will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit will continue to live on through his children and in the hearts of all who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
