Carole A. Strafalace

Carole Ann Strafalace, 86, of Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at her home.

A daughter of the late Edward J. and Anna J. (O’Shell) Metzger, she was born Jan. 24, 1938, in Pittsburgh.

Carole was a talented artist in her youth, an avid writer and reader and an excellent cook. She was also an active, lifelong Jehovah’s Witness and will be most remembered as a loving and supportive grandmother to her three grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Tina Jockel and husband Dan, of Indiana; James “Jim” A. Strafalace, Jr., of Toano, VA; her siblings: Edward “Bud” J. Metzger, Jr. and wife Karen, of Pittsburgh; Janet Farnsworth, of Arizona; and three grandchildren: Emily Jockel, Sam Jockel and Luci Jockel plus numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Per Carole’s wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
