Colleen Jo Jerto

Colleen Jo Jerto, 75, of Lower Burrell, formerly of Aultman, peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A daughter of the late Joseph E. and Agnes E. (Ruddock) Jerto, she was born Sept. 30, 1949, in Indiana. She was a beloved sister, mother and Grammy.

Colleen was a 1967 graduate of Homer Center High School. She began and retired her working years as a Martinizing presser and held various positions throughout the years as an auditor, baker and retailer.

Colleen enjoyed baking, gardening, painting, crafting and spending time with her friends and family. She will be remembered for her witty nature and endless love for her family.

She is survived by her children: Stephanie (Ralph) Phillips, of New Kensington; and Eric Joseph Jerto, of Lower Burrell; her two grandchildren: Madison and Morgan Phillips; her sister, Barbara (Ray) Stumpf, of Indiana; niece, Wendy (Rick) Dawson, of Indiana and many extended nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandparents, Hugh and Mary Ruddock and Steve and Dorothy Jerto; her aunts and uncles, Mary Lou and Ken White and Cassie and George Jerto; her cousins, Joseph and Douglas White; and nephew, Raymond J. Stumpf.

Family and friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2025 at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana.
