David Timothy Fuellner, 65, of Homestead, FL, passed away on Tuesday September 08, 2026 at his residence.
A son of the late Paul F. and Elizabeth A. Fuellner, David was born on September 25, 1960 in Brooklyn, N.Y. David was a 1979 graduate of Indiana High School in Indiana and also graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. David served in the Army as a tank commander and a chemical specialist. He retired after 20 years as a Major. After the military, David worked for the Department of Interior in law enforcement and the National Parks Service as a Park Ranger. David was assigned to many different National Parks which included Canaveral Seashore, Dry Tortuga and the Everglades being his last assignment. He loved helping people and teaching them about the natural beauty of our National Parks. David was a black belt in Taekwondo, a student pilot, an avid scuba diver, he skied the German Alps and kissed the famous Blarney stone. David was also an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by three siblings. Matthew D. and wife, Julianna, Katherine "Katie" D. Garland and husband, Kenneth and Frederick "Rick" E.and partner Amy J. Binsberger, a sister-in-law Margret "Peg" Fuellner, his uncle Eugene Reinhardt and Patricia. a cousin Robert Schmidt and wife Denise, a dear family friend Jack Reese and numerus nieces and nephews as well as great nephews.
David was proceeded in death by his parents, and his brother Russell Fuellner.
A private graveside service followed by Military Honors will be held at the family's cemetery in Shelocta. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Everglades National Park. Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th St., Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
