Denver Emerson Shetler, 82, of Blairsville passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.
The son of William T. and Anna (Betton) Shetler, he was born on February 5, 1943, in Burrell Township, Indiana County, PA.
Denver was a graduate of Blairsville High School, Class of 1963. For 40 years, he worked in various factories fixing machinery and prior to his retirement, he worked at KH Controls in Blairsville for 13 years. He was best known for repairing sewing machines in the local area.
He was a member of the Blairsville Alliance Church and the Promise Keepers.
Denver loved to sing and write songs and was very active at the Chestnut Hills Social Center where he married his wife, Lynnette J. Weaver surrounded by his second family.
Surviving is his wife of 5 years, Lynnette J. (Weaver) Shetler, whom he married on July 12, 2019; his son, Chuck Sanner of Utah; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Teresa Sheffler of Latrobe, and Beth Muck of Derry; his sister, Rachel Yurko of Black Lick; his brother, William T. Shetler (Karen) of Black Lick; and dear friend, Becky Turner of Indiana.
Denver was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Janet Rae (Carney) Shetler on September 3, 2009, and his son, Jason D. Shetler on April 19, 1990.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family.
Denver invested heavily into the community, and any donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
