Dorothy Fletcher Gressley, 98, formerly of Brush Valley, PA, entered the presence of Jesus on August 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy was born January 23, 1928, in Brownstown, PA, Cambria County, to the late Joseph Fletcher and Edna Grace (Lamar) Fletcher.

Dorothy devoted much of her life to supporting her family and helping others, which brought her deep love and purpose.

A longtime resident of Brush Valley, Dorothy lived there for 70 years before spending 10 cherished years in the Villages, Florida, with her daughter and son-in-law.

Dorothy was a faithful member of Brush Valley Methodist Church and Christian Alliance Church. She also attended Saving Grace Church before moving to Florida, where she attended Live Oaks Church in the Villages.

Dorothy is survived by her two loving children, Beryl Gressley, Jr., (Debra) of Indiana, PA, and Sandra Shaffer (Richard) of the Villages, Florida; and one brother, Ken Fletcher of Brush Valley, Pa.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kristoffer Gressley, Stephanie Royhab, Jason Gressley, Justin Gressley, Kylle Slinski, and Mikaela Gressley; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Beryl Gressley, Sr.; her infant son; her sisters, Sharon Ramsey and Ethel Hoover; and her brothers, Joe, Bob, Earl, and Paul.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 4-7 PM at the Robinson Lytle Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N. 7th St., Indiana, PA. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, August 12th at 11 AM with Pastor Mark Altrogge officiating.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, PA.
