Dorothy I. Riddle

Dorothy I. Riddle, 79, formally of Blacklick, passed away on August 19, 2026 at the Communities of Indian Haven, surrounded by her children and family.

A daughter of the late John Elmer Price and Evelyn Nellie (Fair) Price, Dorothy was born August 12, 1947, in Homer City, PA. Dorothy was the loving wife of the late Terry Roger Riddle, who preceded her in death.

Dorothy was retired as the proud owner and operator of Green Oak Personal Care Home. She was a member of New Hope Church Central Oahu in Hawaii and graduated from United High School.

Dorothy found great joy in the simple things in life. She loved gardening and caring for her flowers and plants. She enjoyed golfing at Chestnut Ridge and treasured spending time with her family and friends. Dorothy was known for always being there for those she loved, offering her kindness, support, and friendship whenever needed.

She is survived by her children, Tommy Lichtenfels (Tammy), of Summerton, S. C.; Rob Riddle of Harrison City, PA; and Nichole Bizich (Adam), of Indiana, PA.

Dorothy is also survived by her siblings, John Price Jr.; Mary Pontier (Pete); Ruth Price; Liz Kitzmiller (Jim); Florence Shirley (Jim); Perry Price (Paula); and Virginia Brendlinger.

She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Lexi Riddle, Adam Bizich Jr., Tara Lichtenfels, Erin Markovitz, and Brian Lichtenfels, as well as five great-grandchildren, Myles, Talon, Ivory, Kaia, and Kaleo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including many special friends, Patty Halmes and Pearl Stalham, and Pam Fowler and her prayer sisters from Hawaii. Dorothy will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of family, her beautiful flowers and gardens, and the many lives she touched through her kindness and friendship. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday August 29, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th St., Indiana.
