Dr. Ronald P. Cramer II

Dr. Ronald Paul Cramer, II, 67, of Indiana, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 21, 2026, with his loving wife by his side.

The son of the late Ronald P. and Barbara “Mema” P. (Petrosky) Cramer, he was born on January 19, 1959, in Indiana, PA. Ronald’s life reflected a deep commitment to learning, athletics, and service to others. He graduated from Catholic Central High School in Lansing, MI, and continued his education at Michigan State University, where he was a member of the wrestling team.

He later earned a biology degree from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL, before receiving his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

After leaving Florida, Ronald settled in Clarion, where he completed his residency at Clarion Hospital and went on to practice medicine gastroenterology for 20 years. His career also included caring for patients with Premier Medical Associates in Pittsburgh and Somerset Hospital before he returned to his hometown to serve the community through the IRMC Physician Group.Dr. Cramer was a faithful member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux, Indiana.

Above all, Ronald was cherished by his family. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie M. (Troup) Cramer; his five children, Ronald P. Cramer, III (Julieann) of Aliquippa, Andy Cramer (Courtney) of Canfield, OH, Monica Carusone (Anthony) of Chippewa, Brooke Pirritano (Drew) of Mars, and Logan Cramer of Indiana; and five grandchildren, Kennedy, A.J., Avery, Kamryn, and Pauline. Though deeply committed to his work and caring for others throughout his career, his greatest joy and highest priority was always his family. To his children – and later, his cherished grandchildren – he was a constant pillar of love and reliability. It was never out of character for him to finish an exhausting full day at the hospital and drive eight hours just to be there for his kids, never missing a moment that mattered. By his example, he instilled in them an unwavering work ethic and perseverance, while quietly shaping friends and peers into the people they are today. Above all, he carried life with a light heart, always quick with a joke and a laugh

In keeping with Dr. Cramer’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux, 200 Clairvaux Dr., Indiana, on Friday August 28, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Father Richard N. Owens officiating.
