Frances "Frankie" A. Roof

Frances “Frankie” A. Roof, 95, of Armstrong Twp., passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at her home.

A daughter of the late William T. and Frances A. (Swaney) Darnall, she was born Feb. 12, 1925, in Bethpage, TN.

Mrs. Roof was a homemaker and a member of the Curry Run Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Carl D. Roof, of Armstrong Twp.; four children: Linda Juart and husband William, of Indiana; Cathy Hinz and husband DeWayne, of Sheridan, WY; Cyrus Roof, of Creekside; and John Roof and wife Mary, of Knoxville, TN; a sister, Helen Halter, of Georgetown, TX; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Juart, Michael Juart, Jason Hinz, Kirsten Martens, Andrea Pittsley, Brandon Roof, Laura Gaydos, Rachael Boone, and Tucker Roof; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers: William Darnall, Jackson Darnall, Ted Darnall, James Darnall, Forrest Darnall; and three sisters: Selma Hoster, Margaret Smith and Dorothy Moore.

Due to health concerns of COVID-19, all services and interment will be private. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home.
