Frank A. Frain

Frank A. Frain, 82, of Coral, passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025, at his home.

A son of the late John H. and Gladys (McDowell) Frain, he was born Nov. 12, 1942, in West Wheatfield Township, Indiana County.

Frank was a member of the Homer City American Legion. He was a retired truck driver and liked working on mowers. Hunting was a huge passion, and he also enjoyed fishing. Frank loved Christmas and playing Santa. He was a proud grandfather and never hesitated to help anyone.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Twila (Hancock) Frain, of Coral; daughters: Judy McKendrick and husband Leonard, of Black Lick; Judy Frain and significant other David, of Brush Valley; siblings: Tom Frain and wife Janice, of Homer City; James Frain and wife Carol, of Coral; Robert “Buster” Frain and wife Carol, of Bolivar; Gladys Frain, of Coral; grandchildren: Kimberly Fenstermaker and husband Tommy, Melanie Mumau and husband Kristifer, Gary Miller, Wendy Brncik and husband David and Matthew Lewis; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by children: Diane, Theresa, Janie, Frank Jr., Johnny; and numerous siblings.

Visitation is private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
