Frank Paul Torzok, 83, of Homer City, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at his home.
Born May 1, 1936 in Coy, Frank was the son of the late Frank Joseph and Mary (Komlosky) Torzok.
Mr. Torzok graduated from Laura Lamar High School in 1955. Upon graduation, he proudly served his country by joining the U.S. Marine Corp, and was discharged in 1959. His favorite saying was “Once a Marine always a Marine”. He was a former chief of police of Homer City and served as vice president of the Fraternal Order of Police. Frank was a member of the Homer City United Presbyterian Church, where he served as a ruling “Elder”, adult Sunday school teacher, and a youth leader for many years. He became a Lay Minister, preaching “God’s word and God’s love” in various churches for over 30 years. Frank was also a former member of the Homer City Volunteer Fire Company.
He is survived by his dear wife, Carolyn A. “Honey” (Boczar) Torzok, of Homer City, Frank and Honey were married July 14, 1956; a son, Mark Alan Torzok and Kim, of Homer City; two granddaughters: Nicole Paynter and husband Charles, of Kentucky; Stephanie Lannon and husband Andrew, of Pittsburgh; his dear great-granddaughter, Ellie Paynter, of Kentucky; his sister, Sal Kundla, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Paul Torzok; three sisters: Diane Trueblood, Mary Jane Yuha, Velma Torzok; and his beloved Grandma Komlosky.
Due to health concerns of COVID-19, all services and interment will be private. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home.
