Gerry Lynn Campbell, 81, of Blairsville, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025, in the Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.

The son of Earl and Mary (Pherson) Campbell, he was born on August 30, 1944, in Jeanette, PA.

Gerry graduated from Greater Latrobe High School, Class of 1962, and he went on to work as a machinist in the manufacturing industry.

Some of his dearest memories were spending time fly fishing in Montana and in his fly-tying club. He also loved to hunt and go camping in Potter County.

Gerry married Bonnie Kanurick on March 8, 1980, and together they shared 44 years of happiness before her death in 2024. They were dedicated supporters of the ASPCA and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

He is survived by his children, Lois Campbell-Frazier (Michael) of Pittsburgh, Marcy Campbell (Monica) of Latrobe, and Michelle Bouthiller (Scott) of Port Charlotte, FL; grandchildren, Jessie Mathews, Caitlyn Bouthiller, and Scott Bouthiller; great-grandchild, Colton Bouthiller; siblings, Carla, Rex, Dina, and Michael; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gerry is preceded in death by his loving wife and parents.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Dawn Krishart officiating.

Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to the ASPCA or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
