Jacquelyn Cunkelman

Jacquelyn Lee (McCrea) Cunkelman, 90, of Blairsville, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at The Gardens at Indiana.

The daughter of John T. McCrea and Geraldine (Marshall) McCrea, she was born on April 27, 1935, in Black Lick Township, PA.

Jackie was a dedicated homemaker and mother of seven children. She was a member of The Hopewell Church in Black Lick Township. She graduated from Blairsville High School, Class of 1953. After high school, Jackie worked for Graff Insurance Agency and later served as secretary for Black Lick Township supervisors. She was active with the Indiana County Fair, always lending a hand where she could. Above all, though, she was a full-time mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting and cross stitch.

She is survived by her children, Daniel D. Cunkelman (Marcy) of Clarksburg, Catherine L. Ravenscroft (Warren) of Stoughton, WI, Willis Dean Cunkelman of Shelocta, Donald H. Cunkelman of Black Lick Township, James D. Cunkelman (Jodi) of Black Lick Township, Jerry D. Cunkelman of Brenizer, and Jonathan D. Cunkelman (Sheri) of Center Township; twelve grandchildren, Dana Lee, Ryan, Aaron, Jillian, Lucas, Jessie, Matthew, Emily, Brandon, Kerri, Ally, and Samuel; sixteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Doris Jean Ramsden (Bill) of Blairsville, Bob McCrea (LaDonna) of Blairsville, Margaret Babco of Blairsville, Donna Griffith (Terry) of Indiana, and Gayle Sickora (Greg) of Latrobe; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Jackie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willis H. Cunkelman, in 2009; parents; sisters, Mary Frances Marsh and Ruth Smith; and brother, Bill McCrea.

A visitation will be held at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Hopewell Church in Black Lick Township, with her son Dan Cunkelman officiating. The interment will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg.
