James “Jim” Keith Curtis, 69, of Blairsville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, June 29, 2026 at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
Born December 02, 1956, in Westmoreland, he was the son of the late Howard William Curtis, Sr. and Pauline B. (Steele) Curtis Wilhelm. Jim attended various schools and went on to work at various jobs throughout his life. Jim loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed helping people and watching TV, especially the Drew Barrymore Show.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carrie Voorhies Curtis, of Indiana, two daughters, Shyann E., of Johnstown, and Emily S., of Lowber; one step-daughter, Stephanie A. Haddad, of Indiana; one sister, Frieda and husband Larry Glass, of Loyalhanna; three half-sisters, Teri L. and husband Benjamin Murdick, of Clymer, Kimberley J. Stewart, of Homer City, and Tayna M. and husband Timothy Buterbaugh, of Creekside; one half-brother, Scott W. Curtis and wife Jennifer, of Shelocta; one grandson, Noah; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard W., Jr., of Pelion, SC, and George E., of Blairsville; one sister, Paula J. Ziegenfus, of Latrobe; and one half-brother, Dennis K. Curtis, of Indiana.
The family would like to give many thanks to IRMC ICU, Hospice, and the entire medical team for their compassion and care.
Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N. 7 th Street, Indiana have been entrusted with the arrangements. A church service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
