Janice Lea Free-Winkelman

Janice Lea (Shanner) Free-Winkelman, 60, of Blairsville, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020.

The daughter of Lloyd Shanner and Florence (Henderson) Shanner; she was born in Connellsville, PA on June 2, 1959.

Janice enjoyed gardening and making crafts. She loved making people smile.

She was a Nurses Aide at Keeper of the Flame for 18 years.

Janice is survived by her husband of 18 years, Terry Winkelman whom she married on March 26, 2002; daughters, Sarah P. Free and Angela L. Free, both of Blairsville; grandchildren, Kiernan A Rogers and Logan O. Rogers; brothers, Jerry Shanner of Blairsville, Joseph Shanner of Johnstown, and Jeff Shanner of Ambridge; sisters, Joyce Shirley (Joe) of Graceton, and Patty Shanner of Blairsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jake and Jim Shanner.

Due to the health concerns of COVID-19, services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
