Joanne L. Hoover

Joanne Louise (Grasser) Hoover, 69, of Blairsville, PA (W. Wheatfield Twp.) passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, in Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.

The daughter of John and Erma (Berringer) Grasser, she was born November 21, 1955, in Johnstown, PA.

Joanne loved reading the Bible especially stories about women in the Bible, her cats, but caring for her family was her greatest joy.

Surviving is her husband of 40 years, Bernard A. Hoover, whom she married on March 30, 1985; two children, Melissa Mihalick (Josh) of Nashville, TN, and Matthew Hoover of Blairsville; her granddaughter, Emilie Mihalick; two brothers, Clifford Grasser of Johnstown, and James Livengood (Kristi) of Rimersburg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Per Joanne’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
