John William Felker, 70, of Indiana, PA, formerly of Gray Station, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.
The son of John H. and Mary (Blose) Felker, he was born September 20, 1948 in Greensburg, PA.
John graduated from Hempfield High School and worked as a machinist for D-M-E CO., Youngwood, retiring 2012. He was a veteran of the Army, having served during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Saving Grace Church, Indiana.
He loved the outdoors, antique cars and his little buddy, Max.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Shirley A. (Short) Felker whom he married February 19, 1972; two daughters, Diana Tinkey (Steven) of Derry and Linda Adams (Ron) of Windber; a son, Michael Felker (Alysia) of Shelocta; seven grandchildren, Keegan, Nathan, Brody, RoseAnn, Shawn, Stella and Ava, two sisters, Donna Felker and Marsha Felker, both of New Alexandria.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Altrogge officiating.
Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
Military services will be accorded by Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and American Legion Post #0407.
The family would appreciate donations being sent to the funeral home to help with expenses.
