John B. Mrenko

John Barry Mrenko, 62, of Latrobe, PA, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, in Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA.

The son of John A. and Gloria J. (Patti) Mrenko, he was born on November 12, 1962, in Indiana, PA.

John graduated from Greater Latrobe High School, Class of 1982, and worked in industrial cleaning. He was a Sergeant in the Army National Guard for 20 years. John enjoyed being with family and helping to take care of his parents. He was an artistic person who liked to draw, paint, and play all kinds of music.

He is survived by his mother, Gloria Jones of Latrobe; stepfather, Howard Jones of Latrobe; sister, Darlene Lewis (John) of Autryville, NC; brother, Richard A. Mrenko (Sue) of Greensburg; nephews, Matthew Hoyman (Ashley) of Hubert, NC and Richie Mrenko of Greensburg; nieces, Melanie Cote (Zach) of California, MD and Stephanie Mrenko of Greensburg; and many friends.

John is preceded in death by his father, John A. Mrenko, in 1970.

Per the family’s wishes, no services will be held.

Interment will take place in SS. Simon and Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
