Joseph E. Visnesky Jr.

Joseph Edward Visnesky Jr, 76, of Indiana, passed away on Thursday September 10, 2026 at Butler Memorial Hospital. 

Born in Indiana on April 03, 1950, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph E. Sr and Gladys L. (Adams) Visnesky. Joe worked as the Automotive Manager at Sears for many years and finished his career as a supervisor at the Indiana County Assistance Office. Joe was a proud Veteran of the US Army Reserves. He served as First Sergeant for the 458th Engineer Battalion , B Company. Joe carried great pride for his county and the men he served with during the time he spent in the military, even serving in Germany as he trained other troops. In his free time, he enjoyed reading about history and watching his favorite sports teams. Joe was a member of the Allied Club in Indiana and a proud member of the NRA. He loved his family, his country, hunting, planting a garden and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. 

Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Danielle Madill and husband, Matthew, of Indiana, Courtney Visnesky of Indiana and Justin Visnesky of Pittsburgh; brother, Robert “Bob” Visnesky and wife, Rita of Clyde; sister, Mary Orner and husband, Glenn of Brush Valley; brother, Michael Visnesky and wife, Ludmilla of Indiana; sister, Lori Visneksy of Brush Valley; six grandchildren, Ava Burglund, Lila Burglund, Oliver Madill, Riley Visnesky, Eliot Visnesky and June Visnesky. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sherry Lynn and his beloved and cherished grand-dog, Rigby. 

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday September 15, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th St., Indiana. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday September 16, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am with Pastor Caleb Fugate officiating. Interment will be in Brush Valley Lutheran Chapel.
