With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Josephine Minnie (Tedeski) Vigliotti, 94, of Blairsville, PA, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.

The daughter of Angelo and Minnie (Bertoncini) Tedeski, Josephine was born July 28, 1932, in Indiana, PA.

Mrs. Vigliotti was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Coral. For years, Josephine prayed the Rosary daily.

Josephine was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and owned and operated her own beauty salon for 50 years. Her customers, many regulars, knew “Jo” for her dedicated work ethic, kindness, and commitment to others. Her fabulous cooking, homemade Italian dishes and made-from-scratch desserts, were legendary among not just family but friends as well. When you came to The Vigliotti’s, you were “family” and you sat at the kitchen table while Josephine and her husband, Tony, insisted you eat. Mangia! Music and singing were always in the air: from polkas to rock, Mom Jo loved it all.

Josephine was the proud and loving mother of two children: son, Anthony M. (wife: Sandra) Vigliotti, and daughter, Carol Ann (Vigliotti) (late husband Ronald) Dixon. She was also a cherished grandmother (known) to them as “Gram”) to four wonderful grandchildren: Angela Vigliotti, Anthony A. Vigliotti, and Gina (Vigliotti) (husband Brian) Bartek, and Mark A. Succheralli (wife Jackie). Josephine was also great grandmother to four lovely girls: Hadley and Hannah Bartek, and Blakelyn and Olivia Succheralli.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Anthony E. Vigliotti, on July 31, 2012; her parents; three brothers, Joseph, John and Louis Tedeski; five sisters, Irma Dorazio, Angeline (Bertolino) Varrrato, Mary Lonzo, Albina Bee and Louise Tedeski.

The family would like to thank the staff and management of Beacon Ridge Nursing Home of Indiana for providing our mother with loving care and attention for over three years.

Josephine touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever, along with her humor and ability to make people laugh. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.

Until we meet again – We love you deeply, Mom, and we will forever miss you.

As per Mrs. Vigliotti’s wishes, all visitation and funeral services will be private.

All funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.

Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
