Joshua "Josh" Andrew Tassos

Joshua “Josh” Andrew Tassos, of Homer City, passed away at his home on Monday, July 28, 2025.

Born Aug. 31, 1990, in Indiana, he was the son of Kimberly A. (Moore) McGee.

Josh was a graduate of Homer-Center High School and worked for TMR Roofing in Saltsburg. He was an avid pool player, loved fishing, camping and cherished time spent at the beach. Josh will be remembered for his big heart, sense of humor and deep love for his family and friends, especially his son.

He is survived by his mother, Kimberly A. McGee, of Greensburg; his beloved son, Kody Tassos and Kody’s mother Vanessa Simms, of Greensburg; his brother, Robert Peace and his partner, Michelle Kachar, of Indiana; his sister, Sara McGee, of Pittsburgh; and many cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins who will hold his memory close to their hearts.

Josh was preceded in death by his stepfather, Clifford McGee; his maternal grandfather, Robert Moore; and his aunt, Diane Dreischalick.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025 from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana. A private graveside service will be held at Blairsville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
