Judy Juanita (Gary) Emery, 74, of Brenizer, PA passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026, in WVU Medicine Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.

The daughter of John R. and Pearl (Baird) Gary, she was born on December 8, 1951, in Indiana, PA.

Judy devoted her career to serving others as an aide at Torrance State Hospital, where she worked until her retirement.

In her leisure time, Judy enjoyed crocheting, quilting, reading, and tending to her garden. Above all, she treasured the time she shared with her family and friends.

Surviving are her three sons, Adam Steigert (Keathe) of Johnstown, David Steigert (Lauren) of Broomfield, CO, and John Steigert (Chelsea) of Indiana; two stepchildren, Jerod Emery of Derry and Sarah King (George) of Blairsville; 12 grandchildren, Adam, Taylor, Meghan, Chase, Alexandra, Jack, Carmen, Joseph, Leah, Willow, Fiona, and Isaac; her sister, Esther McConnell of Blairsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Judy is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 23 years, Rickey A. Emery on October 5, 2024; her parents; her five sisters, Bertha Kline, Anna Cribbs, Martha Akins, Ruth Howard and Rebecca Gary, and her two brothers, Edward Horner and William Horner.

Per Judy’s wishes, visitation and funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Inurnment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Clarksburg, PA.
