Kathryn Louise Crook

Kathryn Louise Crook, 48, of Cherry Tree, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Conemaugh Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

A daughter of Dayton C and Mary L. (Klingensmith) Crook, Kathryn was born May 24, 1978, in Indiana. Kathryn was a 1999 graduate of United High School and was a member of the Homer City Church of the Nazarene. She loved going to church and cherished the time she spent with her church family.

Kathryn enjoyed doing word searches and watching television game shows. There wasn’t a game show she didn’t like. She had a loving heart and truly loved everybody she met. Her kindness, warmth, and love for others will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her parents, brothers and sisters: Robert Crook and fiancée Shannon Buzzard of Indiana; Edward Crook (Tina) of Latrobe; James Crook and wife, Benita of Bradenville; Nancy Crook of Cherry Tree; David Crook and his fiancée, Jennifer Chronosky, of Indiana; and Linda Lee and husband Justen of Homer City. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. Kathryn was preceded in death by her loving sister, Grace (Crook) Garris. 

Kathryn will be remembered for her loving spirit, her enjoyment of the simple things in life, her faith, and the love she had for everyone around her. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7 th St., Indiana. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Homer City Church of the Nazarene, 3513 Route 119 Hwy S, Homer City, with Pastor Tim Maynard officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
