Larry L. Weinell

Larry Lee Weinell, 76, Blairsville, PA, (Brenizer) passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at his home.

The son of Carl J. and Grace (Howard) Weinell, he was born August 9, 1947 in Latrobe, PA.

Larry graduated from Blairsville High School, Class of 1965 and worked as a Quality Control Manager for Nuclear Components and Furnace Operator at Kennametal, Latrobe, PA, Kingston Plant, retiring in 2010.

He was a member and past president of the Brenizer Community Association.  He enjoyed going to Eight Point Hunting Camp and fishing.  Larry loved being with family, especially his grandchildren, and working with wood giving the special gifts he made in his shop to his family.

Surviving are three sons, Brian Weinell (Renee) of Blairsville, Michael Weinell (Suzette) of New Alexandria and Mark Weinell (Leslie) of Blairsville; 10 grandchildren, Adam Weinell, Cassie DeMarines, Jake, Colin, Cody, Courteney, Trey, Teague, Evan and Emilee Weinell, a great grandson, Wesley DeMarines and a sister, Sandy Ingmire (Charles) of Blairsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, A. Jane (Carrara) Weinell on June 17, 2021 and a sister, Ronda Weinell.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 P.M. the time of the funeral service with Pastor Rob Ingmire officiating at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.

Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
