Lois A. Hoffman

Lois Ann Eppley Hoffman, 86, of Indiana went to her heavenly home for Christmas on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025 while at Rose Haven Personal Care Home, Indiana.

A daughter of the late Charles Luther Eppley and Anna Lois Engle Eppley, she was born in Mechanicsburg, on April 24, 1939.

Lois traveled the world with her military family. She attended fourteen schools in 12 years, riding the streetcars to school in San Francisco and graduating from Narimasu High School in Tokyo, Japan.

While in Japan she met Donald H. Hoffman, Sr. of Indiana, Pa. They shared nearly 44 years of marriage. Lois was a seamstress at Fours Company, Blairsville, as well as Campus Sportswear, Indiana. She later worked as a secretary at IUP, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in 1991. She enjoyed volunteering at the outreach ministry at Zion Lutheran Church. Lois loved to travel and always had another trip planned.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Isenberg; four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marian and Elaine; sister-in-law, Pat; brother, David (Cindy); her niece, Joyce; Dean’s girls, and friend Marvin.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter; son, Donald H. Hoffman, Jr.; son-in-law, Keith Isenberg; sisters-in-law, Mary and Nancy; brothers, Richard and Paul; brothers-in-law, John, Jim and Ricky; and partner, Dean.

Per her wishes there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 100 S. 6th Street, Indiana, PA 15701.
