Nancy J. Saver

Nancy Jo (Kanurick) Saver, 78, of Cumming, GA, formerly of Natrona Heights, PA passed away peacefully during the night of Monday, June 23, 2025, in Trinity Manor Personal Care Home, Canton, GA.

The daughter of Frank Kanurick and Rosalie “Annza” (Fourny) Shimps, she was born March 5, 1947, in Blairsville, PA.

Nancy was a graduate of Blairsville High School, Class of 1965. She married her high school sweetheart, William “Bill” E. Saver, and they made their home in Plum, PA and later in Natrona Heights, PA before retiring to Cumming, GA in 2010.

She courageously battled Multiple Sclerosis for 30 years, but it did not keep her from enjoying life. She loved travelling to see the grandkids when they lived out of state, going to the beach, going to the movie theater, and going to amusement parks with them. As her mobility declined, she enjoyed long phone conversations with her best friends in PA, reading daily devotions, doing puzzles, and continuing to help with the dishes from her motorized wheelchair.

Surviving is her daughter, Julie Erin Williams (Jim) of Cumming, GA; her son, William Bradley Saver (Kelly) of Mars; and five grandchildren, Allison Emma Feliciano (Alec), Nicole Williams, Thomas Williams, all of Cumming, GA, Leo Joseph Saver and Henry Emmett Saver, both of Mars.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Kanurick and Rosalie Shimps, her husband, William Saver in 2016, her brother Ronald Kanurick, and a special cousin, Bonnie Kanurick in 2024.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 4 PM until the time of the funeral service at 5 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville. A Rosary will be said prior to the requiem Mass on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Most Precious Blood of Jesus Roman Catholic Parish, 3250 California Ave., Pittsburgh, PA.

Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
