Paul J. Michael, Jr., 84, passed away on Thursday November 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Paul was the husband of Carol Ann (Ledden) Michael, whom he married on November 17, 1966.
Born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, on January 02, 1942, Paul was the son of the late Paul J. and Goldie Mae (Chew) Michael.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Together, Paul and Carol shared nearly 60 years of marriage. Their life together was built on love, commitment, family, and the many everyday moments that become treasured memories over a lifetime. Carol was his wife, his partner, and the person by his side through all of life's joys and challenges.
Paul was a proud family man. He loved his little girl, Erin B. (Saiani) Saylor. He attended all of her dance recitals and watched her grow into a young lady. He also loved watching his son, Braden T. Michael, hunt, fish, and play school sports. His family meant the world to him, and the time he spent with them was among his most precious memories. He took great pride in his three grandchildren, Montana Michael-Debold, Jayke Saiani, and Owen Saiani.
Paul worked as a general manager at Delaney Chevrolet for over 50 years and attended college. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was also a member of the Elks in Indiana, Pa.
For Paul, some of life's greatest joys were found outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially loved fly fishing with his friends. He was a huge deer hunter and loved the time he spent in the woods. Hunting wasn't simply something Paul did. It was a passion that brought him happiness and gave him countless stories to tell. He also enjoyed collecting arrowheads and had an appreciation for the history and stories connected to the treasures he found.
Although Paul is no longer with us, his memory will remain alive in the hearts of those who loved him. His family and friends will carry forward the stories of his life, his love of the outdoors, his dedication to his country, and, most importantly, the love he gave to them.
Paul's greatest legacy was not what he accomplished or what he owned, but the people he loved and the memories he left behind. His family will miss his presence, his stories, and simply having him there. They will find comfort in knowing that a part of Paul will always remain with them—in their hearts, in their memories, and in the stories they continue to share for generations to come.
Paul is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Michael; daughter, Erin B. (Sainai) Saylor (Alex), and three grandchildren, Montana Michael – DeBold, Jayke Saiani, and Owen Saiani.
Paul will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, but even more, they will remember the man behind those passions. They will remember the husband who shared a lifetime with Carol, the father who loved his daughter and son, and the grandfather who took pride in his grandchildren. They will remember the conversations, the stories, the good times, and the memories made together will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul J. Michael, Sr. and Goldie Mae (Chew) Michael; his son, Braden Michael; and his brother, Terry Michael.
