Roger “Bucky” Dale Shaffor, age 74, of Clarksburg, PA, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on October 7, 1951 in Latrobe, PA was the cherished child of Ernest Shaffor and Alberta Helman.
Bucky lived a life rooted in family, and service to his country. A devoted member of United States Navy where he obtained a National Defense Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon and a Vietnam Service Medal. He found joy in tending to his vegetable garden, landscaping where he loved to mow and hunting deer and small game. Bucky enjoyed fishing with his son and grandchildren where after a day of hard work, treated themselves to Wendy’s or Valley Dairy.
He dedicated many years to TMR Roofing as a forklift operator serving with diligence, and a deep sense of responsibility until retirement.
Those who knew Bucky will remember his gentle heart, steady devotion to loved ones, and the warmth brought to family gatherings and everyday moments. His devotion of love and perseverance will continue to live on in the many lives touched.
Bucky is survived by his son, Preston(Christine) Shaffor, Step-Daughter, Amy Savacool; grandchildren Bradley, Brandi and Bryce Shaffor; siblings Phyllis Porter, Brenda Henry, Diana Lloyd and Scott(Pam) Shaffor, sister-in-law, Laura Shaffor; and many nieces and nephews who will hold his memory close.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Myers-Shaffor, Ex-Wife, Denise Shaffor, Daughter, Amanda Shaffor, Brother, Denny Shaffor and his Brother in Law, Ron Henry
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 4 – 7 PM and Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 10 AM – 12PM where a service in his memory will be conducted at 12PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville. Bucky will be laid to rest at Lewisville Cemetery where Military Honors will be conducted.
May Bucky’s memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all who loved him.
