Ruby G. Hazlett

Ruby G. Hazlett, 86, of Homer City, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at her home.

A daughter of the late Lawrence B. and Alice N. (Henry) Fisher, she was born Dec. 9, 1939, in Indiana.

Ruby was a graduate of Blairsville High School. She was a homemaker. Ruby was a member of the Church of God. She enjoyed tending to flowers, especially roses. But most important to Ruby was her love of friends and family.

She is survived by her son, Mark Hazlett and wife Carol, of Homer City, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Raymond L. Hazlett, who passed away in 2013; eight siblings: Blair Fisher, Wilbur Fisher, Daryl Fisher, Arlene Womack, Louise Taylor, Marion Long, Ruth Duncan and her twin, Pearl Patterson.

Visitation and services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
