Obituary

Rylie Daniel Hillegas, 24, of Greensburg, PA (Hempfield Twp.), passed away on Friday, August 1, 2026, in Hempfield Township from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Born on January 9, 2002, in Johnstown, PA, Cambria County, Rylie was the beloved son of Coby and Brandy (Blystone) Harmon.

He was a 2020 graduate of United High School, where he enjoyed being part of the basketball team and made many lasting memories.

Rylie worked for K & N Paving in Greensburg, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.

Rylie had a deep love for life and the people around him. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley, golfing, and listening to all types of music. Above all else, his greatest joy was his family, especially his children, his wife, and his younger brother, who meant the world to him.

Rylie will be lovingly remembered by his mother and stepfather, Brandy (Blystone) and Coby Harmon of Homer City; his wife, Debra L. (Rayman) Hillegas; his cherished children, Avery M. Hillegas, Hunter A. Hillegas, and Maizie M. Hillegas, all at home; his brother, Coby Harmon, Jr. of Homer City; his maternal grandfather and maternal step grandmother, David and Evelyn Blystone of Blairsville; his paternal grandmother, Linda Price of Homer City; his maternal grandmother, Goldie E. Blystone of Seward; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandmother, Alberta Blystone, and his paternal grandfather, Robert Price.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service honoring Rylie’s life will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, August 6th at 11 AM with Pastor John Manon officiating.
