Sandra Kaye Cochran

Sandra Kaye (Rummell) Cochran, 81, of Homer City, PA, died on Friday, November 21, 2025, in Crystal Waters Personal Care Home, Home, PA.

The daughter of Willard D. and Georgia B. (Stewart) Rummell, she was born on December 25, 1943, in Cherry Tree, PA.

Sandra (Sandy) was a member of the Blairsville Alliance Church. She worked for twelve years as a Psychiatric Aide at Torrance State Hospital before retiring in 2004. In her spare time, she liked to cook, bake, and make chocolate candy. She enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy and other game shows on TV.

Surviving are her four children, Michael Cochran of Butler, David Cochran (Terri) of Homer City, Brian Cochran of Palm Springs, CA, and Laurie Cochran (Richard Krissinger) of Elmhurst, IL; grandchildren, Luke Cochran and Alexis Cochran; and sisters, Karen Schoch (Ron) of Warren, OH and Cheryl Berringer of Alquippa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janet Dishong.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 1 to 3 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will follow at 3 PM with Pastor Terry Semsick officiating.

Interment will be in the Uniontown Cemetery, Cherry Tree, PA.
