Sharon L. (Riddle) Simpson

Sharon L. (Riddle) Simpson, 74, of Marion Center, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus her Savior on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family. Sharon was the wife of David W. Simpson, whom she married on July 18, 1986.

Born in Indiana on October 16, 1951, Sharon was daughter of the late William Glenn and Delta Gay (Hammack) Riddle. As a life-long member of Hilltop Baptist Church, Sharon was well known as an avid prayer warrior. When she wasn’t running the home, Mrs. Simpson worked as a bus driver for many years. In her free time, Sharon was a passionate reader, with her favorite book being the Bible. She was well known for being an excellent cook especially, her baking skills, with pie crusts and cookies being her specialty. Sharon loved music, particularly Southern Gospel. Mrs. Simpson loved tending to her flowers but the most significant thing in Sharon’s life was being a good mother and grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of nearly 40 years, David Simpson; seven children, Stacy Taylor, and husband, Andre of Westminster, MD, Jody Hilton, and husband Robert of Lititz, Cherri O’Hara of Indiana, Misty Sena and husband, Joseph, of Littleton, CO, Candice Kirkpatrick of New Castle, Tawnya Varney and husband, David, of Indiana, Amanda Belloti and husband, Corry of Tionesta; brother, James Riddle and wife, Diane of Paynesville, OH, and a sister-in-law, Pam Riddle, of Armaugh; 25 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings, Ralph, Ronald, Jean, Danny and Bryan.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Hilltop Baptist Church, 4859 PA-286, Indiana from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at Hilltop Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 with Pastor Steve Rearick officiating. Interment will be in Georgeville Cemetery, Marion Center. Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7 th St., Indiana, have been entrusted with the arrangements.
