Shirley M. Morales

Shirley M. Morales, 77, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Born on November 2, 1948, in Johnstown, Shirley spent her formative years in the city she always called home.

She was predeceased by her parents, John T. Cantania and Verna M. George. Shirley is lovingly remembered by her sons, Henry Morales (Annabelle) and Mark Morales; her cherished companion of 35 years, Gary Shirley; her grandchildren, Jaden, Gabrielle, Angelina, Isabella, and Cooper; and her niece Lori.

For 18 years, Shirley resided on Hilton Head Island—a place she affectionately referred to as "HER ISLAND." There she embraced the beauty of coastal living and found peace in the island's serene beaches. It was also during this time that she celebrated the birth of her grandson Jaden.

Shirley had a compassionate heart and a deep commitment to caregiving. She found purpose in helping others and brought kindness to all aspects of her life. She also enjoyed traveling to new destinations and listening to music that uplifted her spirit.

She was delighted in the simple joys of life. Traveling brought her immense happiness, as she loved discovering new places and sharing vibrant stories from her adventures. Music served as a constant source of solace and joy throughout her life. Shirley also shared an unbreakable bond with her loyal dogs, Candy & Halo, who brought her endless companionship and comfort.

Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May Shirley’s legacy bring comfort and peace to all who were touched by her presence.
