Terry D. Byers

Terry Duncan Byers, 82, of Portage, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Duncansville.

A son of the late Irvin and Jessie (Duncan) Byers, he was born Sept. 6, 1942, in Indiana.

Terry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Sedloff Publications, where he was a journeyman. Terry enjoyed shooting firearms and learning new things. His greatest enjoyment came when he was with his loving family.

He is survived by two daughters: Tracy Byers-Loftus and husband John, of Portage; and Patricia Mallery and husband Ronald, of Duncansville; three grandchildren: Andrew Byers and wife Kristine, Matthew Myers and wife Lara, and Sarah Mallery; five great grandchildren: Kasen, Liala, Calder, Braiden and Ridley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara (Learn) Byers in 2021; a twin brother, Jerry; and brother, William.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th Street, Indiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Interment will be in Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown.
