Thomas Earl Fink, Sr., 77, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at home surrounded by family.
The son of David R. and Ruth (Heckman) Fink, he was born on December 4, 1948, in Indiana, PA.
Thomas graduated from Blairsville High School, Class of 1966. A year later, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and he proudly served our country overseas during the Vietnam War. He also served in the National Guard. Thomas later worked for Ebara Elliott Energy in Jeannette as a security guard.
He was a member of the American Legion, Post 515, Latrobe, and he was also in the Marine Corps League.
Thomas was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and loved spending time with his family. He was a kind soul and had an appreciation for the simple things, in particular his black coffee, cigarettes, and Pabst Blue Ribbon beer.
He is survived by his five children, Linda Rainey (Terry) of Uniontown, Pam Chesla (Tom) of Derry, Thomas Fink Jr. of Haymarket, VA, Ruth Ferguson (Kesha) of Chunchula, AL, and Edwin Fink (Charles) of NC; grandchildren, Collin (Lucky), Nathan (Mackenzie), Kailey, Tyler, Emarie, Athena, and Amelia; great grandson, Sullivan John; brother, Edwin Fink Sr. of Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents and brothers David, Jim, and Mason.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 2 to 4 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Blairsville Military Honor Guard and the Marine Corps League will have military services in the funeral home at 4 PM.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Ospta Hospice, and in particular, Sammy, Brittany, and Terri.
