Thomas Gongloff, 66, of Derry was called to his eternal resting place on July 23, 2026 . He entered this world on March 22, 1960 in Huntingdon, PA. He was born to James E. Gongloff and Janet M. Baker.
Tom loved spending time with his family, camping, boating, fishing, and hunting. Tom enjoyed a good game of poker with his friends and family. He was always willing to help with a project or solve a problem. He was loved by many people all over the country. People will remember him for his distinct sense of humor and vast collection of pajama pants. Those who knew him, knew that he was an avid instigator.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janet I. Gongloff, children, Jessica (Gary) Cutenese, Justin (Tara Carr) Gongloff, Tyler (Megan) Gongloff and Missy (Floyde) Rhoades; His granddaughters, Emma, Maddisyn and Cora who were the loves of his life; his siblings, Nancy (Lee) Moore, Jim (Linda) Gongloff, Steve (Mary) Gongloff and Jerry (Sarah) Gongloff; loving in laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, as well as many, many dear friends.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a visitation at the Shoemaker Funeral Home on Sunday July, 26 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Monday July 27 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, where a funeral service will start promptly at 12:00 PM. Rev. Sandra Marsh McClain officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to two of Tom's favorite organizations that were near and dear to him.
