Timothy Charles Norberg, 79, of Allison Park, PA, formerly of Blairsville, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Woodhaven Health and Rehab, Monroeville, PA.
He was born June 4, 1947, in North Versailles, PA, the son of the late William and Mary (Finney) Norberg.
Tim was a graduate of Westinghouse Memorial High School, Class of 1965. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University and used his business degree for a career in banking and finance.
He was a former member of The United Presbyterian Church of Blairsville and had served on the Blairsville Library Board. He was also involved with the Blairsville Rotary Club and valued the friendships and fellowship of the Blairsville community.
Tim enjoyed walking in his spare time and appreciated the simple routines of everyday life. He valued time with family, especially time spent with Ginny, his wife of 50 years.
He is survived by his two sons, Eric R. Norberg (Carrie) of Glenshaw and Neil G. Norberg (Michelle Harhigh) of Chicago, IL; three grandsons, Gunnar, Grant, and John; a sister-in-law, Connie Norberg of West Deer; and several nieces and nephews who will remember him with love.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia “Ginny” (Hodder) Norberg, on November 27, 2019; his brother, Robert Norberg; and his sister, Patricia Tyson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 2 PM until the time of the funeral service at 4 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA, with Pastor John Manon officiating.
Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorial donations to be made to The United Presbyterian Church, 137 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA 15717.
