Walter J. Buggey

Walter Joseph Buggey, 86, of Homer City, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

Born in Chambersville, on October 4, 1939, Walter was the son of the late Thomas and Betty (Solinski) Buggey. Walter was a member of Creekside Methodist Church for many years. He worked for PennDOT for 35 years before his retirement. In his younger years, Walter also engaged in horseback riding with the Armstrong Mounted Posse. Walter will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his hard work, and the time he spent with his loving family.

Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Joseph Buggey (Laurie), Moyock, North Carolina and David Buggey, Homer City. Walter was preceded in death by his loving wife, Judith E. Buggey, his parents, and two sisters, MaryAnn Donina and Shirley Haden.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday September 3, 2026 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7 th Street, Indiana. A funeral service will be held on Friday September 4, 2026 beginning at 11 AM at the funeral home, with Pastor Lois Jackson officiating. Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
